Questions, Answered

Find a NightPlug station at a participating venue, tap to start a rental, and a charged power bank releases from the kiosk. Plug it into your phone and keep moving — no waiting around at a locker.

No. That's the whole point. You take the power bank with you and keep your phone the entire time, unlike traditional charging lockers that hold your phone for you.

Rentals start at $6.99. Final pricing and rental duration can vary slightly by location, and you'll always see the exact price before you confirm.

Return it to any NightPlug station — ideally before you head home for the night. As our network grows, you'll be able to return at a different venue than the one you rented from.

A lost or unreturned power bank may incur a replacement charge. If something happens to yours, contact NightPlug Support and we'll help sort it out.

NightPlug power banks work with both Lightning and USB-C devices, covering the vast majority of iPhone and Android phones in use today.

That's the long-term vision — rent at one venue, use it while you're out, return at any participating NightPlug location. Cross-venue returns will roll out as our network expands.

If a return slot is full, the app will direct you to the nearest available NightPlug station so you're never stuck holding a dead power bank.

If something goes wrong with your rental — a faulty power bank, an incorrect charge, or a station issue — reach out through our Support page and we'll review and resolve it.

Head to our For Venues page and submit a partner application. Our team will follow up to walk through fit, placement, and next steps.

We're launching in New York City and New Jersey, starting with a handful of partner venues and growing from there. Check the Locations page for the current list of live and coming-soon stations near you.

Tap and go at a NightPlug station and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, tap-to-pay, or card — no app download or account required to rent.

There's no major upfront equipment cost to host a station — our partner model keeps that off your plate. Venues can also earn a share of the rental revenue generated on-site; the For Venues page has a calculator to estimate what that could look like for your venue.

No — a station is a single kiosk that fits into a corner, hallway, or entrance area, and NightPlug remotely monitors uptime, stock, and maintenance so it's minimal work for staff.

Partner venues get their own login at the Vendor Portal, where you can see your monthly rental revenue, rental counts, and projected numbers for the month. If you don't have a login yet, ask your NightPlug contact to set one up.

Just tell me what's going on — I can file a support ticket right here in chat — or use the form on the Support page. Either way you'll get a reference number by email and an update as soon as our team resolves it.

Yes — you'll get an email the moment your ticket's status changes (received, in progress, or resolved), each with your reference number so you can always find the thread.

Sorry about that — I can log a ticket for a broken charger, an incorrect charge, a failed payment, a lost power bank, a station that isn't working, or trouble returning your charger. Just describe what happened and I'll get it to our team.

We collect only what's needed to run rentals and support (like contact info and rental details), never sell your data, and you can review the full details on our Privacy page.

Using a NightPlug station means agreeing to our Terms of Service, which cover the rental fees, your responsibilities as a renter, and liability. Full details are on the Terms page.

Rentals start when a power bank is dispensed after payment, and can be returned to any live NightPlug station. If a power bank is lost, not returned in a reasonable time, or damaged beyond normal wear, a replacement fee may apply — full details are on the Rental Policy page.

NightPlug is a small team building a portable charging network for nightlife, starting with a handful of machines, real venues, and real feedback. Meet the team on our About page.
